Tammeka Nickleberry, DDS

Dr. Tammeka Nickleberry received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor College of Dentistry in 2005. Before that, she received her undergraduate degree from Prairie View A&M University. Dr. Nickleberry spent the first four years of dentistry with a corporate dental practice, where she learned exactly how she wanted her patients’ experience to be shaped and how she did not. She started her first privately owned practice in the South Houston area in 2009, and she later expanded to a second location in Pearland in 2016.

She prides herself in creating an exceptional patient experience and permanently changing the patient-dentist relationship for the better. Her mission is to help patients fall in love with their smiles and oral health care. To achieve this, Dr. Nickleberry and her team create an amazing, carefree dental experience emphasizing one of her core values: “TO TREAT EVERY PATIENT BETTER THAN WE WANT TO BE TREATED.” She believes that a comfortable experience and her level of expertise will create happy, healthy, gorgeous smiles. In short, she wants the days of “hating” to see the dentist to cease to exist with her patients.

Dr. Nickleberry takes hundreds of hours of continuing education yearly to give her patients the best possible care. She ensures that her treatment modalities include tried and true, long-standing methods of dentistry as well as well-researched and scientifically backed newer cutting-edge treatments. She extensively trains in implantology, cosmetic dentistry, and clear aligner orthodontics. Through education, she seeks to help patients achieve total awareness about their general health and how their oral health impacts their overall well-being.

Dr. Nickleberry also devotes a portion of her professional time to organized dentistry. She believes that as a profession, dentists can best serve their patients by learning from each other. She is a member of The Academy of Clear Aligners, The American Dental Association and all of their statewide and local components, The Academy of General Dentistry, as well as the Spear Study Club and a host of other study clubs.

Dr. Nickleberry’s family is from “the big city” of Naples, Texas, located in the state’s northeast corner. She is a big city girl with small-town values. In her free time, she enjoys traveling back home to spend time with her family, traveling abroad, reading anything she can get her hands on, running, and weight lifting. Two of her most recent personal goals are to develop leaders within her practices and increase her team’s community service. She spends a big part of her personal time working to develop her leadership skills through coaching and leadership training. With the help of her team, she has implemented a community free dental day in February to celebrate her birthday, and she chooses multiple service activities throughout to lead. Her goal is to lead with a servant’s heart.
